Thèmes de recherche

My research aims to explore the nature of neurocognitive processes devoted to perception-action links. A first goal aims to improve our understanding of the cognitive mechanisms underlying motor representations thanks to stimulus-response compatibility effects (e.g., Heurley et al., 2020, 2023). A second is devoted to untangling the processes at work when planning voluntary actions and, in particular, the role of the perceptual outcomes of actions (e.g., Guerineau et al., 2021, 2023). A final goal focuses specifically on the processes involved in the construction of body representations as well as in the emergence of the sense of body ownership (e.g., Heurley et al., under review; Sabek et al., 2024). Notably, I pay particular attention to the predictive nature of the cognitive processes studied.
